Lisa Velakis
Executive Assistant
Lisa Velakis has been with Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM), since 2013, serving as Executive Assistant. She has a a diploma in Leadership Development from the Baptist Leadership Education Centre and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph. During her tenure, she has worked with 3 different Executive Directors, supporting not only them but also the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Audit Committee, Pension & Insurance Committee, Directors, and Team Leads. That means planning and attending a lot of meetings! Much of the work that CBM does is front facing and focused on projects and beneficiaries, but without strong governance and systems in place this work could not happen. She is thankful that her role supports the greater ministry in a very practical way. Based in Milton, Ontario, Lisa and her husband Paul, enjoy life with their two children, Lukas and Natalia.
