Eligibility

If you are a permanent staff member,  you can join the retirement & savings plans as soon as you’re hired, providing your employment contract permits.

If you are a part-time employee, each province has slightly different minimum requirements for number of hours worked per week. Please refer to the Plan Booklet for your province for details.

You can join the plan at any time after you are hired. Once you’ve joined, you can’t terminate your membership or remove your funds while you are employed by a participating employer.

About the Retirement & Savings program

The CBBenefits Retirement & Savings program is an important and valuable part of your overall compensation package – and your financial wellbeing – and features:
