Richard Currie lives in Duncan British Columbia and attends Newlife Church there. Before retiring in 2018, he was Vice President of Finance and Operations at Concordia University of Edmonton since 2009.  Most of his career has been with operation management of non-profit organizations, having held senior administrative positions in health care as well as with advanced education institutions. In addition, he worked cross culturally for several years as an administrator of a busy rural mission hospital in far-west Nepal.  He has also done significant volunteer work assisting with the settlement of Bhutanese and Syrian refugees in Canada. He currently volunteers as Chair of Cowichan Valley Basket Society, treasurer of Stonewood Village Strata Association, and board member for CBWC. He continues to hold a CPA (Alberta) designation and a Master of Health Services Administration degree from the University of Alberta.
